In 1994, Salvatore Calabrese, a legend of the bar industry worldwide, joined The Lanesborough to tend to The Library Bar. Salvatore brought with a vast knowledge and love of vintage cognacs, and since then, the The Library Bar's collection has flourished to become one of the most impressive in world. The collection would make any museum of spirits very proud, but the main difference is that our guests can actually taste this history, as opposed to just look or read about it.

The Library Bar became famous for its unique collection of vintage cognacs, and to keep our guests exited and spoiled for choice, the sourcing of rare bottles has never stopped since.
