Belgravia in Bloom
London truly springs into bloom in May, as the Royal Parks that surround The Lanesborough come to live with an abundance of flora and botanical events including Belgravia in Bloom and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show entice visitors from near and far. Read on to discover how we're celebrating the occasion, from unique events and masterclasses to floral themed culinary experiences.
22nd to 29th May 2023.
Belgravia in Bloom
Our elegant neighborhood, Belgravia, and its restaurants and boutiques come alive with awe-inspiring floral installations during the annual Belgravia in Bloom event. Our design for 2023, created by florist in residence, Wildabout Flowers and made from recycled trellises and wood, pays homage to English flora and fauna and is inspired by Highgrove, His Majesty The King's country estate. The iconic entrance to The Lanesborough will delight residents and visitors with an array of locally sourced potted plants, including trailing jasmine and ivy, roses, hydrangea, ferns and herb plants, mimicking a wild English country garden.
Experiences & Events
Meet two of our resident artists, Anna Masters and Dawn Stacey, who display their floral and landscape art as part of The Lanesborough Art Programme. Both will create live work during this special lunch including a meet and greet, private view and three-course meal at The Lanesborough Grill from 12pm.
Floral Masterclass
25th May
In continuation of our literary event series with publisher Rizzoli, award-winning floral designer and author Sandra Sigman will host a live flower arranging masterclass, whilst talking about her new book, French Blooms.
Into The Wild
From 22nd May
Putting an exotic twist on this year's Belgravia in Bloom theme, our mixologists at The Library Bar present the 'Into The Wild' cocktail, bursting with summery, tropical flavours of cachaça, mango, coconut, agave syrup and a hint of chili.
Spring Dining at The Lanesborough Grill
Diners at The Lanesborough Grill are welcomed with new menus showcasing the flavours of the season, presented with a botanical touch during Chelsea Flower Show week.
