Construction Insights: Employees on tour

While the Brenners undergoes extensive modernization and the sound of construction work fills the air, we remain committed to our employees. That's why we organize regular construction site tours so they can experience the progress first-hand.

These tours allow our employees to take a look behind the scenes and actively participate in the modernization process. The construction site thus becomes not only a place of change, but also a place of cooperation and exchange.

From room walls to note pages

In our efforts to preserve the rich history of the Brenners, we have launched a special project: The elegant wallpapers that have adorned the walls of our rooms for decades are now beginning a second life. In collaboration with the Spinner bookbindery, we are transforming these historic resources into exquisite notebooks. Each book is unique, preserving the aesthetics of our Grandhotel and allowing our guests to take a piece of our history with them. These notebooks are designed to evoke memories.

History in the frame

During the modernisation work, we placed particular emphasis on preserving the originality of our house. More than 200 doors and their frames were carefully dismantled and removed for storage. These original door leaves and frames are not only being refurbished, but also reintegrated into the building in their original form. This process ensures that the historical essence and distinctive character of each room is preserved, while incorporating modern standards and comfort.

Power-up in the depot

Another decisive step in the modernization process is the connection and commissioning of the 20 kV transformer station in the loading yard. This development not only brings increased efficiency for our guests, but also emphasizes our commitment to continuous improvement. With this modern infrastructure, we strive to provide an even more comfortable and efficient experience.
