With its impressive height, the Residence Turgenjew stands proudly in the Schillerstrasse, recalling the stately bearing of the writer and its namesake Iwan Sergejewitsch Turgenjew. For five years, the latter resided in the Schillerstrasse as a guest tenant of the construction manager Peter Anstett to bridge the time until his house in the Fremersbergstrasse was built for him.

The five floors of the residence are easily accessible by elevator and have a view of either the courtyard garden in the back, the Black Forest, or the Brenner's main building.
